Permali achieves ISO 14001 environmental management certification

Permali, a leading manufacturer of composite materials and TPU films, has announced it has achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification for its 10,500 sqm site in Gloucester, UK.

ISO 14001:2015 is the internationally recognised environmental management system (EMS) standard. Certification to this standard demonstrates adherence to an EMS framework and a commitment to continually improve environmental performance.

To achieve this, Permali underwent rigorous independent assessment by the British Standards Institute (BSI), the business improvement and standards company, which audited the implementation of the EMS throughout Permali’s operations.

Jonathan Wilkinson, CEO of Composites and Polymer Materials Group, said: “Achieving ISO 14001 is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and hard work in making this milestone possible.”

Permali specialises in the manufacture, design, and qualification of composite and PU material solutions for the defence, aerospace, health, rail, automotive, and many other engineering sectors that require compliance with complex regulatory frameworks.

By obtaining this highly regarded certificate for environmental management, Permali can pursue new opportunities in industries where commitment to an EMS is highly valued, or even required.

ISO 14001 certification will also strengthen existing relationships with customers and partners, by providing additional assurance of Permali’s longstanding dedication to high standards across all its manufacturing operations.

The new certification will join both ISO 9001:2018 and AS9100 rev D as standards held by Permali.

Accreditation of the ISO 14001 standard is being awarded to Permali by the British Standards Institution (BSI). Further information on ISO 14001:2015 can be found here. To view Permali’s certificate online, click here.
