Our rotor vanes are used in rotary vane vacuum pumps and compressors.
Rotary vane pumps consists of a rotor located off-centre in a cylinder. The rotor has a number of slots in it where rotor vanes are fitted. The rotor vanes slide against the cylinder wall which creates the vacuum or pressure of the gas being pumped.
Depending on the application of the pump, we have various high performance materials to suit it. General characteristics of a good rotor vane material is high wear performance, low friction, low coefficient of thermal expansion and being relatively softer than the cylinder making sure the wear takes place on the vane and not the pump itself.
FEROFORM F57 is a Kevlar reinforced high performance material for rotor vanes for compressors and vacuum pumps. The main areas of use of FEROFORM F57 are in milking pumps, blowers for cement plants, tanker discharge pumps, and high vacuum pumps. FEROFORM F57 exhibits superb stability under vacuum, insensitivity to moisture, excellent strength retention, and low noise.
FEROFORM F43 is a high performance material for rotor vanes for vacuum pumps. The principle area of use of FEROFORM F43 is in single and two stage high vacuum pumps where FEROFORM F43 exhibits superb stability under vacuum insensitivity to moisture, excellent strength retention, and low noise.
FEROFORM F200A is a resin bonded graphite which has been developed as a high performance dry running rotor blade material. The main area of use is in single stage vacuum and pressure pumps for the tanker discharge pumps and general industrial.
